" So, we all three tried to go a day without using our cell phones and it was certainly harder than we thought! We found that the worst part was never being able to tell what time it was! We had gotten so used to relying soley on our phones, rather than a watch or clock. Phones do everything else...of course they'd tell us what time it is! We also decided that we felt disconnected from many of our friends. We had no way of getting up with them if we were not right there with them. Also, since we are all three away from home and live here, we really rely on our phones to keep in touch with friends and family back at home. We felt even farther away from them not being able to correspond with them. We all talk to our parents about everyday and it was wierd knowing that we couldn't for that day.
Khara: "umm yea. I don't do very well without my cell-u-lar device. My boyfriend was not too happy when I used a civics project as my excuse for not texting him or even calling him all day!"
Mac: "I didn't like not being able to get up with people. I had to actually go out searching for them to find them, instead of calling."
Terris: "I really realized how much we rely on our phones and it's so wierd because not too many years ago, people didn't even have cell phones and they did fine."
